My favorite flower is the fuchsia.  Unfortunately, since I live in the desert, I can't grow them.  I did attempt to a couple of different times, but it was basically "throwing away" money cuz once the heat and wind hit, they didn't last too long.

Fuchsias like filtered sun, not direct sun. Fuchsias prefer temperatures around 55°-80°, yet many select heat tolerant fuchsias are able to maintain their blooms up to about 90°.

I know I have some pictures of the ones I tried to grow, or at the very least.. my green-thumbed mom's that she has every summer.  However you can thank my computer crash for the lack of them :o(  However I found this gorgeous set that I decided to use to show  you how pretty fuschias are! 

Fuchsia's are also known as ballerinas.  You can see by their daintiness where that came from.
