My Mom is my best friend and is always there to lend support, help when she can or offer advice when asked.

My Mom was born, raised and still lives in central New York state.  Actually, she was born in a cabin in the Adirondack Mountains!  I've always been so fascinated by that!

My Mom is so talented.  She plays the piano, makes adorable arts and crafts and can arrange flowers like a pro!  She's my favorite cook and there are some dishes that she makes that no one else can even come close to.  "Poor Mom" always has a pre-planned menu whenever I go back there or they come to California.

She also has a VERY green thumb, that I did not inherit.  She can grow ANYTHING and every year she grows beautiful flowers and wonderfully yummy vegetables!

Mom is an animal lover.  She had dogs and cats when growing up and now has a very spoiled cat who even goes in the motorhome with them when they travel!  It was from her that I first learned that animals are not "just animals" but family members.  Even now she is always grandma to my dogs and cats!

Mom and I are alike in so many ways!  I'm glad I have her to look up to!
