Ok.  The little "L" story.  In case you didn't know, I'm originally from upstate NY (way upstate, in the Mohawk Valley).  As a kid I was always fascinated with NY City, since we only got down there a couple of times.  Somehow because of my fascination with NY City, I associated that with macy*s.  It's remained one of my favorite stores and I was SO happy when they moved west (they have some of the best sales!)  One visit to NY City and to macy*s (after already moving to California), I noticed that the signs on the outside of the store were written with a small "m".  And that is when I decided to start writing/signing my name with small letters!  I did give in on our wedding invitation and use proper capitalization *grin*.  We compromised and our napkins were printed with a small "L"!  But I sign checks, legal papers, credit card slips, all with small letters!  So there you have it!  My silly little story!  lol!
