I have a good excuse for not posting my senior picture, I don't even have a copy of it. Nope, not even a wallet! My mom has it and her scanner isn't working. So I'm off the hook! lol! We didn't have cap and gown photos. In our Junior year we went to the studio and got our pictures taken.
Our Alma Mater
Where the silvery Mohawk's flowing, as it wends it's peaceful way.
There's a spot of fondest mem'ry, to the alumni young or gray.
There our dear old Alma Mater, stands throned 'midst hills of green.
As the white clouds bend above her, she's the fairest ever seen.
Oh her sons and daughters love her, with a love that knows no end.
And with garlands fair entwine her, as her honor they defend.
For her ivy walls are sacred, to the scenes of glad spent days.
And our voices rise in parting, as we sing her endless praise.

Our school colors were kelly green and white. I still have my school jacket hanging in the computer room closet. My grandpa gave me the money to buy it, so for that reason, it's always been kinda special to me. Did you all have to wear gym suits? I remember those! UGH! one piece solid green shorts and a green and white stripe top! lol! OH and swimming class! YUCK! I hated swimming class!!!! Our yearbook was called: Ye Green Quill. Our football team name was: the Magicians.
One of my favorite high school memories revolves around Spanish class. In NY state we had regents exams. Everyone in the state took the same test at the same time on the same day. In your junior year you took English, hmm I think science and social studies and if you took a language class, you took that regents your junior year. So naturally up to that point you concentrate on learning what you need to pass the exams. So for 4th year Spanish, Mrs Schad (the teach) would do lots of fun stuff. On year she had a bunch of artistic students and they painted a mural, I forget the other now. Well we were the class that liked to cook. So for our project we made a Spanish/Mexican food cook book! Naturally we had to make and try the things we were putting in our book! My mom still has that cookbook and occasionally makes some of the yummy recipes we included!
My High School's "claim to fame" is that an alumni was on "Who Wants to be a Millionaire" (in Feb 2000) and won a quarter mil before he chose to stop.
OK, I guess high school wasn't all bad....
