Holding Pattern
We’re in another holding pattern. We finally got our bathroom door and I love it! It needs to be painted but I’m a little concerned about painting while it’s so humid… the little painting we have done recently (base boards, crown moldings) doesn’t seem to want to cure very quickly. Here it is right now (it still has the protective plastic on the glass until we paint it):
The glass isn’t quite as frosted as much as we wanted so we’ll probably add some extra to it… but overall i’m very pleased (and can’t wait to see it painted!)
We decided we wanted to change the the vanity top in the bathroom. I didn’t want anything too expensive but a bit more current. We found a marble top with attached sink that looks really nice. The only problem is that now the tile that we loved looks horrible! It’s totally the wrong style and wrong color to look good in the bathroom…. so now we’re back in a holding pattern until we find something at a reasonable price that we like… Guess it’s a good thing we didn’t get the tile put in after all….

Hi Caligurl! When we redid our 3 bathrooms, we had one custom granite counter top made and one ready-made granite counter with attached sink from Home Depot. The 1st was twice as expensive but totally not worth the extra money. The only nice thing was we were able to have more selection of granite… but if you can find the color/look you want, that’s the way to go. Your door is cool! (((Hugz)))

Hi Caligurl! We ordered our chaise sofa and loveseat Memorial Day weekend and they told us 6-8 weeks so we called and they said they could deliver our sofa right away but our loveseat (actually apartment sized sofa- so bigger than a loveseat) will come later next week. They said they’d deliver that without a charge since it’s been longer than they said. It’s been fine since we’ve had so much work going on but now we want them! (((Hugz)))

Hi Caligurl! Still in a holding pattern? We have our dark green sofa and chaise coming today that will go in the family room so we can move the sage green (identical sofa with chaise) upstairs. then Thursday, the sage green sofa (apartment sized so bigger than a loveseat) arrives. Then rug shopping.
Kanan takes a long time to dry because he has that unique fur that repels and yet holds water at the same time. Thankfully, Kali has her summer cut. They were both wiped out from the hike…even Kanan. Poor Kali- she didn’t need that even tho she had fun! (((Hugz)))

Oh, yes! We religiously watch SYTYCD! Jeff loves it, too! Except he’s not fond of the 2 hour shows. Each season gets better and better. The dancers were so good and I’m sorry we lost some great ones to injury- like Alex! That hip hop routine with Twitch was one of the most amazing things I’ve ever seen! All that from a ballet dancer. And I loved Billy- that homeless man routine was heart-breaking as was the contemporary dance with Robert (from Thousand Oaks) choreographed by Sasha! Where he walked her feet… I loved Kent, of course, but we saw it coming with Lauren as she just kept getting stronger each week. The front-runners often seem to run out of gas. Get that boy in Oklahoma! It’s made for him!
Also- love Adam Shankman as a judge!
